Why in the fuck do these politicians keep playing this game- American taxpayers are being fleeced by these crooks! What is the point of having to pay these private DoD contractors this much money, and more than our military members are supposed to receive? This is a total joke! Don’t lose sight of the fact that these men are prior service personnel. They are military, in fact most are ex Special Forces. Most of you posting comments here have no real experience in dealing with Blackwater or this war for that matter. Just a bunch of speculators. These men are true patriots. I completely disagree. I served beside blackwater for ever 2 years in Iraq when I was in the army. they were the standard of professionalism. And they were EXTREMELY good at their job, as a matter of fact, they were far better and more specialized at their job than any Conventional US military unit.

I also must say..Mr. Waxman needs to serve a tour in Iraq with these guys. They are good, REALLY GOOD. I understand the tough questions, but let me tell you, this “errors” happen DAILY with the US Military, and no one’s threatening to put them out of business. When you run THOUSANDS of operations of this nature, its inevitable to have some sort of accident or loss of life. Unfortunately, that goes along with the job.

Thank you for your service. When I served organizations like this were very much looked down on. I don’t know what outfit you served with, but your comments aren’t saying much for them. There are no finer than our men and women in uniform. Why sell them short? You might have been a good soldier but obviously you don’t know loyalty. I wouldn’t want to fight beside you.

what i don’t understand is why doesn’t pay your goverment pay your soldiers more money to go to iraq en afghanistan. It is better for america beter for iraq and afghanistan and better for the tax-payer. If you see how much is paid the last years how much support is that for your one army.
